Irish Stew (In the Name of the Law)

In tribute to St Patrick’s Day tomorrow I present you with my Irish Stew – cooked specially for Rachel’s birthday last month.

Featuring slightly unorthodox dumplings (because she loves them) and turnips because I had some in.

Irish Stew

It was also admittedly slightly light on lamb – as my Mother would say: it’s Hunters’ Stew, you hunt for the meat!

Anyway,
in honour of Rachel’s birthday, this was followed by a Chocolate and
Guiness Cake which she was made to take home with her so that it wasn’t
lying around temptingly in our kitchen!
