The Magic Numbers

Rating:
5 out of 5 stars

…but I don’t think they saw me…

The album I love – but live at Wolverhampton Civic Hall last night they were absolutely spanking.

5 star rating for that.

We’d got to about 5 o’clock last night and were running out of energy and enthusiasm – but I’m so glad that we did go.

Happy Christmas Himself!

  1. I
saw them supporting The Doves at Brum Academy a while back and they
were fantastic. Hadn’t heard of them before but it inspired me to go
get the album as soon as I could.

  2. Come
off it. What do the magic numbers do that makes them original. I find
their music very dated and whilst done well, it really adds very little
to modern music. Even the updated punk of Franz is more original. I may
be the only one but I can say I don’t find their music enjoyable.

  3. Casey Leaver says:

    I’m
not very sophisticated about music – but I love singing along and
dancing to this, I think the lyrics are clever and the music makes me
feel happy. (Or sad – depending on the song.)

    I’m not going
to make arguments about their contribution to the musical canon –
although if someone else wants to then please do so here, I’m simply
going to ask why bands have to be original to be of worth.
