My CSS Failings

Right, OK, I’ve fiddled with this half-heartedly for a couple of days and I’m making very slow progress.

I’m therefore opening it up to the blogmunity (that means you Messers Mannion, Ingram and Abbott).

What am I doing wrong with the maincontent2 div?

#maincontent2 {position: relative;left: 0px;top: 0px;margin-right: 15%;width: 70%}

Also – why does the picbox style not work without the apparently redundant content style?
