At the weekend I was marching round the house singing (badly) at the top of my voice:

You can get it if you really want
You can get it if you really want
You can get it if you really want
But you must try, try and try
Try and try, you’ll succeed at last.

Himself interrupted me and asked me if I realised what I’d just sung. I’d reworded the last line:

Try and try, you’ll succeed at once.

Apparently this is very funny and very revealling. Humph!
